Escondera Condominiums

Nestled within the heart of Southwest Austin lies Escondera. KWA Construction was selected to provide construction services for Phase III of these Mediterranean style condominium homes. The project includes one, two, and three bedroom flats and townhomes with integral garages and panoramic views of the Hill Country escarpment and downtown Austin.
KWA faced several budget challenges on this project due to the nature of building a low density project on a steep site. Constraints including regional geotechnical conditions, upgrading unit interiors from earlier phases, and relocating utility services to earlier phases while still maintaining service, created a disproportional cost per unit impact. KWA Construction worked with the developer to address these concerns, and was successful in producing a favorable budget for this project. Implementation of further control measures and ongoing attention to detail has resulted in additional work with this client.
