A Sweet Sixteen – KWA Celebrates Great People, Quality Construction and a Bright Future

KWA Celebrating 16 Years.

From our humble beginnings in August 2004, to today’s robust portfolio of completed quality construction projects, KWA continues its trajectory of success. What began as a small general contracting company has since grown into a recognized regional industry leader with over $1 billion in contracted work. KWA Construction stands firmly on the success made possible by the tireless efforts of those who dedicate themselves daily to our mission.

At KWA, we are a big family with passion and convictions that we take into work with us every day. We believe this is what sets us apart and will ultimately continue to fuel our momentum for many years to come. Thank you to each and every team member for propelling us through 16 years of success. It’s because of you that we are dedicated to “passionately developing our people, building great places, and creating better futures,” as our mission states. See here for a video on “The Foundation of KWA Construction.”

As this August marks our Sweet Sixteen, it is a great opportunity to reminisce on some of the great moments since we started, appreciate the people and values that made it possible and look forward in anticipation of what comes next.

To celebrate KWA’s Sweet Sixteen, we thought what better way than by delivering baskets of sweet treats to our staff!

Developing Our People is Our Passion

More than just growing revenue and expanding our business, KWA thrives because our backbone is our people. While we work to deliver unbeatable communities, we seek to foster the greatest value possible for the developers with whom we partner. Teaming with people who value lifetime learning and leadership growth is of paramount importance and an integral part of our culture.

“The secret to our success is no secret. It’s the strong, trusted relationships we’ve built among our team, and their commitment to continuous improvement for both themselves and our organization, that ultimately benefits the clients with whom we work,” said Brian Webster, KWA Construction’s President.

Over the years, our commitment to our core values has not gone unrecognized. In 2018, KWA won the Dallas Business Journal’s Torch Award for Ethics, recognizing it as the most ethically-driven, medium-sized business in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The same year, Inc. Magazine named us one of the fastest-growing private companies in America on its “Inc. 5000” list, joining an elite group of industry leaders who play a critical role in economic growth and job creation.

Building Quality Multifamily Construction

Specializing in the multifamily sector, we have expanded our skill set beyond a traditional apartment portfolio and have also become known for quality senior living, student housing and large complex wrap projects, such as The Roosevelt at Arlington Commons and The Monarch.

“The multi-family market has really evolved since KWA started in 2004. Project designs have become increasingly complicated, which has really pushed us as an organization to focus on some of the more intricate details of a project that many may take for granted. To us, it’s the successful implementation of these key technical items that we feel can truly make a difference over the long term for our clients,” said Richie Keene, KWA Construction Executive Vice President.

With thousands of units built across the state in the past 16 years, our first-class construction has not gone unnoticed. In addition to a number of notable award-winning projects, KWA has been recognized through several national awards, including recurring positions on the list of top 25 multifamily general contractors in America by the National Multifamily Housing Council and multiple recognitions on Dallas Business Journal’s Middle Market 50 list.

We’re passionate about developing our people at KWA.

A Better Future for All

Thanks to all of our team members, vendors and business partners who have contributed to the successful completion of thousands of new homes and the creation of communities throughout Texas within the last 16 years. Some things really do seem to get better with age, and we’re just getting started!

This year, KWA President Brian Webster was recognized as an honoree among Dallas Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” a distinction that sets KWA apart as a leader in innovation and growth.

Carrying on the legacy of giving back to the communities in which we work, Brian encourages his team members to advocate for causes they believe in and work toward a better future. Having supported a number of organizations since its inception, he is thankful for the opportunity to be in the position of sharing the company’s success with groups who are focused on improving the lives of others.

As we propel forward for many years to come, we’re excited for even more opportunities to grow our team, partner with clients who share our values and contribute to a bright future for our team, our family and our community.
