Integrity. Excellence. Empowerment. Team Work. Quality Relationships. Personal Development. Economic Security. These are the Core Values around which KWA Construction strives to operate. And twice a year, we take the opportunity to celebrate a couple of our team members that are exemplifying those Core Values. This spring, we celebrated two very worthy recipients who pour so much of themselves into their work – our Controller, Margie Brodeur, and one of our Assistant Superintendents, Victor Valenzuela. Each recipient received not only a plaque of recognition but a small bonus check as well.
“When my name was announced I was surprised, ecstatic and extremely grateful that my fellow colleagues had chosen to recognize me for this special award,” said Margie. “The flowers that I received were beautiful and the money was used to buy a new washing machine – the old one had just died.”
Victor shared a similar sentiment, “I feel very honored to receive the Core Award mostly because it is voted on by my peers. It feels great that people recognized all the hard work that goes into the projects that we do. Thank you to all those that voted for me; I really appreciate it. Can’t wait to finish the next project successfully.”
To honor our award recipients, we planned an exciting company night at Globe Life Park to watch the Texas Rangers take on the Seattle Mariners. Although neither of our honorees were able to join us that night, our team members still celebrated their achievements with great excitement. The Rangers wound up on the wrong side of the score that night, but for KWA, the night was perfect. Thanks to all that were able to be a part of that fun night!
KWA is so thankful for the work that our team members do on our behalf. We look forward to celebrating more Core Award winners in the fall.
