Kilby, a high-end residential apartment community built by KWA Construction in the $600-million Frisco Square in Frisco, Texas, was honored as a finalist of the ‘Best Real Estate Deals of 2020’ by the Dallas Business Journal. The four-story, 258-unit complex was the first multifamily development in Texas by Toll Brothers Apartment Living®— a rental subsidiary of Toll Brothers, Inc.— and partner Daiwa House Texas Inc., a subsidiary of the largest single-family homebuilder in Japan, Daiwa House Group. DBJ’s annual awards program commemorates stakeholders and dealmakers that cultivated the best transactions and projects in North Texas during the prior year.

Designed by HEDK Architects with the goal to complement the industrial history of Frisco and echo its relationship with The Frisco Railroad, the 279,288-square-foot Kilby community was thoughtfully orchestrated to have an ‘elevated industrial’ aesthetic. Interior design firm Mary Cook Associates carefully incorporated the iconic railway look into the interiors, with strategic elements selected in the programming, finishes and furniture. The aesthetic approach continues into the units themselves with key design decisions that merge with the community’s overall layout.
Kilby offers high-end amenities including a complimentary coffee bar, community-wide WiFi, a conference lounge with a catering kitchen, a club area with a dramatic double-sided fireplace and a bar and social lounge featuring draft beer and television screens.
