Last month at a company-wide luncheon, we honored the first of our semi annual Core Award winners who were recognized by their peers for embodying and displaying our core values in their daily work. These award celebrations have quickly become some of our favorite events.

This time around we were excited to receive more nominations than ever before, but it made for a steep competition. While the award is traditionally given to two recipients, this time we named three winners as a way to surprise a colleague who has normally been involved in planning this event.

Dennis Downey, Project Manager

Dennis joined KWA in 2006 and brings over 30 years of experience to the table. He wears many hats and excels in the management of his projects. Dennis is always willing to share his knowledge and experience with others, and is there for all of us when a problem arises.

Julian Sontag, Assistant Project Manager

Julian recently celebrated his one-year anniversary with KWA. He has played a critical role in helping us develop and implement “automation” to the project management role. Julian continually goes above and beyond to help everyone in the organization, and has quickly cemented his reputation as being a trusted member of our team.

Jessica Medlin, HR Supervisor

Joining the KWA team in 2012, Jessica, who was recently promoted to human resources supervisor, is our surprise third winner of the Core Award. Always in a good mood, she does an amazing job boosting company morale and is very encouraging of others. Jessica gives her all on every task and project handed to her.
